I took a chance on adding CBD to my daily routine in 2017 after chronic migraines began to literally control my day to day routine. I would get about half way through my work day when I felt a migraine in its early stages. Once I got home I was in bed lying in quiet darkness unable to move without feeling like I might throw up. After 10 straight days of this the grim thought crossed my mind "is this my life now?"

Doctor's visits gave me no answers as to what was causing my issues and their solution was to prescribe me Topamax. After about 2 months of taking Topamax and researching the long term side affects I knew that this was not my long term solution. I replaced the medication with CBD and after about 10 days the results were amazing.

Not only did my migraines stop, but CBD resolved other issues I didn't realize I had in the first place. My sleep cycles were much deeper and more routine. I was able to easily fall back asleep when waking up in the middle of the night when I would have normally tossed and turned. My mood was much more calm and easy going; managing stress was easier. I still get occasional headaches when taking CBD, but they are less intense, making them much easier to manage. The less frequent my headaches were, the more intuitive I was to my triggers. The most common trigger for me was stress but I also found that wearing certain clothes caused severe tension headaches (certain bras & jackets), which I never would have imagined could trigger headaches.

I purchase my CBD products from Fresh Thyme, but they are available online as well. My favorite CBD products are below:

I drink this liquid gold daily. Their coffee is sold in packages of whole beans or k-cups. One of the reasons I love this product is the freshness and flavor (I grind the whole beans and drink french press coffee), but their website also claims to be THC free which is ideal for law enforcement or health care workers that need to be able to pass a drug screening.

This was the first CBD product I started taking. They have a huge variety of products ranging from gummies to topical salves, but I used the oil drops. Once I found out that some of their products can contain trace amounts of THC I switched to Strava Coffee and Budda Teas.

My go to CBD infused tea is the Matcha Green Tea, but they also have a large variety of caffeine free tea. The beauty of the CBD Matcha Green Tea is that you get the energy boost from the caffeine without the annoying aftermath of jitters and anxiety thanks to the CBD.
